How To Tuesday: Upholstered Bench

Today we are very excited to have our very first reader submitted feature on the FWD blog!

Lisa is an author, designer & instructor specializing in the creative use of African textiles for decorating, quilting, sewing & crafts. In her blog Cultured Expressions, she shows how to upholster a piano bench.

You need fabric, fusible woven interfacing, high-density 2″ foam rubber, and a staple gun – that’s it!

To recreate the fun, ethnic feel of the mudcloth Lisa used, here are a couple of fabric selections, the first from our What’s Hot section in the FWD store.

Submit your How To or Chair Makeover — if your submission is featured on our blog, you will receive a 40% coupon for Fabric Warehouse Direct! You will also be featured in our weekly newsletter that goes out to thousands of customers. Email us at email@fabricwarehousedirect.com with your submissions – we look forward to seeing them!
