On the FWD blog, Monday means Comfy Chairs. We’ve been browsing eBay looking for a chair to place by the fireplace and came upon this mid-century rocker chair.
It’s got great lines but that vinyl fabric – not doing it for us!
Inspired by the amazing upholstered chairs at Anthropologie, we love the pattern on this fabric. It’s reminiscent of the great Swedish designer Josef Frank who created lush organic designs.
We can’t wait to curl up by the fire with Keith Richard’s new memoir “Life” – a no holds barred account of his rock and roll life. And we’ll be enjoying the read with a glass of 2004 Terre de’ Trinci Sagrantino di Montefalco “Ugolino.” This is a deep-flavored, fleshy Sagrantino lush with the tastes of blackberry and earth. Its tannins are big, but softened, and it has a finish that just doesn’t let go. It’s a big, gentle bear of a wine.
Which one of our fabrics would you use? If you’ve recently recovered a chair, post a pic on our facebook page. Each month we’ll pick the one we like the most, and that person will get 40% off their next purchase of $50 or more!
